If you’re just completing cancer treatments, then there is a chance your teeth and gums may have suffered some side effects such as gum disease or oral infection. So, it’s best to get started restoring your oral health and smile as soon as you can. To help you do so, our dentist, Dr. John Kim, encourages you to do the following:

-Visit our office: This is very important because your cancer treatments could have created issues in your smile, such as cavities and gum disease. So, when you come to our office, we will treat those problems, clean and strengthen your teeth.

-Keep up on oral hygiene: You need to brush twice a day, floss once a day and rinse daily. These things can keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy.

-Avoid tobacco products: The ingredients in tobacco can harm your gums and body, and have been linked to cancer.

-Eat nutritious foods: There are many foods that can help you enjoy the strong and healthy teeth and immune system you need, like fruits, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy products. So, try to consume these foods as much as possible.
